Alice in Chains Announce UK Tour
After a stellar performance last month at SONISPHERE Festival Knebworth, Seattle rock legends ALICE IN CHAINS have announced their first full UK tour since 1993.
ALICE IN CHAINS were one of the most influential and instantly recognisable rock acts of the 90s, selling over 17 million albums worldwide, but the tragic passing of original vocalist Layne Staley (RIP) in 2002 cast doubt over the future of the band. After founding members Jerry Cantrell, Mike Inez and Sean Kinney reunited in 2005 for a benefit show, the band eventually made the decision to continue with new vocalist William DuVall, and in 2008 announced plans for a new album - their first in 14 years.
“Black Gives Way To Blue” is set for release on September 28th, and initial reviews promise an incredible album with huge songs and powerful, massive choruses. If first single “A Looking In View” is anything to go by, fans can expect an impressive vocal display from lead singer William DuVall harmonizing with Jerry Cantrell, retaining the trademark AIC sound. With DuVall already proving he can hold his own performing classics such as “Man In The Box”, “Grind”, “Would” and “Them Bones”, the shows promise to be unmissable for fans both old and new.

Slayer Return to the UK
With the release of their new studio album “World Painted Blood” set for November 2nd, Thrash titans SLAYER have announced a headlining tour of the UK later the same month. Over a career spanning three decades, SLAYER have solidified their position as one of the biggest and most important metal bands in the world, a name synonymous with hard aggressive music, and punishingly brutal live shows.
Early reports claim the latest album to be their finest work since the 1986 classic “Reign In Blood”, with the band themselves agreeing “It sounds like the stuff we wrote in the 80’s”. Fans will be able to find out for themselves how the new songs hold up against their tremendous back catalogue in a live setting for the first time.
You can see them at the Academy in Birmingham on Thursday the 19th of November

Marilyn Manson announces UK Tour
Controversial American industrial rockers MARILYN MANSON have announced a run of UK shows in December. Their first UK tour since the release of “The High End Of Low” - considered by many to be the bands finest album in years - kicks off at London’s Brixton Academy on the 9th. Frontman Marilyn Manson quotes:
“The world needs a reminder that rock n' roll is as long as it wants, whatever it wants, and however it wants to be done. People say that, "if it ain't broke, etc..." Well I say, Break it.”
Polarising opinions and driving moral watchdogs crazy, whatever one may think of MANSON, it’s hard to argue against the power of a MARILYN MANSON concert. Alternative anthems such as “Disposable Teens”, “The Dope Show”, “The Beautiful People” and “Arma-Goddamn-Motherfuckin-Geddon” set against a vivid stage show coupled with impressive costumes, ensures the shows will be a highly entertaining, not-to-be-missed audio-visual experience.
You can see them at the Academy in Birmingham on the 13th of December
