As a thank you to their ever-patient fans, The Darkness are giving away a brand-spanking new and free song called ‘Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us’.

The first fruits of their studio labour is a typically glam-tastic slice of mock rock and was recorded and produced by the band and Nick Brine in Norfolk and mixed in Austin, Texas by Chris ‘Frenchie’ Smith.

‘Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us’ comes with a brilliant part-animated video which was created in Philadelphia by artist Thom Lessner and director Ted Passon. Watch it in its entirety below.

The whole shebang serves as a taster for Lowestoft’s finest’s as-yet-untitled third studio album which is expected to land at some point in 2012.

The Darkness are ready to kick off their 17-date North American tour with a sold-out show at the Phoenix in Toronto tonight.

They’re also set to headline the Big Top Arena at the Isle of Wight Festival on Sunday 24th June and perform a one-off show at Thetford Forest in Suffolk on Saturday 14th July.
