Katie P – formerly known as Miss Parsons – is the New Band Editor at Kerrang! Magazine and the latest addition to our DJ ranks here at Kerrang! Radio. Katie presents the weekly Kerrang! Magazine show on Sunday evenings, bringing listeners all the info from the biggest rock mag on the planet!
Katie first began working as a rock journalist in 2003 at a monthly metal magazine, before graduating to Kerrang! In 2007 and running their Introducing, New Music section ever since. While not also contributing writing to the scene's biggest sites and rock blogs, she been simultaneously presenting rock shows on the country's biggest radio stations, as well as contributing interviews and reports to the gang here at Kerrang! Radio during our annual K! Tours.
Katie P was the first person to ever interview Bullet For My Valentine and You Me At Six, and has spent the past eight years touring around the world, with her ear to the ground finding the best new music first. Her job has seen her voyage from Thailand to Tottenham, Bognor to Boston – taking in some of the world's greatest music festivals and sweaty punk gigs.
Katie P also works as a club DJ and has recently started up an all-new range of Kerrang! Klubs across the UK, bringing the best tunes to the dancefloors of the nation.
